Chemotherapy works on rapidly dividing cells, regardless of the type of cells involved: normal or cancerous.

The chemotherapy is used to remove cancerous origin cells in tissues affected by cancer which differ from those of normal tissue by multiplying faster.

Side effects appear because in our body there are cells that, without being cancerous, also divide very quickly and, therefore, extra manifestations arise in the body.
