1- Helps reduce blood cholesterol

Oatmeal water contains high doses of beta-glucans, a soluble fiber with benefits for heart health.

These beta-glucans form a gel-like substance inside your intestine, which can bind to cholesterol and reduce its absorption. This can help lower blood cholesterol levels, especially “bad” cholesterol, which has been linked to heart disease.

A study of men found that drinking about 3 cups (750 ml) of oatmeal water a day for 5 weeks lowered total blood cholesterol by 3% and “bad” cholesterol by 5%.

Interestingly, 1 cup (240 ml) of oat milk can provide up to 1.3 grams of beta-glucans.

2- Contains B complex vitamins

If you get oatmeal water in the supermarket, you should know that it contains several B vitamins, such as riboflavin and vitamin B12. These substances are essential for various functions of your body.

For example, they help improve your mood, combat stress and make it easier for hair, nails, and skin to stay healthy, especially if you already have a deficiency of these vitamins

3- It is ideal for diets

This milk-like beverage is the perfect option for those with dietary restrictions. Being only made of oats and water, it is considered vegan and lactose-free.

Oats are gluten-free by origin but can be contaminated by processing grains that do contain them. Therefore, if you are allergic, you should confirm that the drink you are purchasing is certified gluten-free.

To make the oatmeal water, just soak a little ground or whole oats in water and you will get it once you strain it with the help of a strainer. You can enjoy it like this (natural), or customize it and add flavors to your liking.

It should be noted that when straining the oats, in the remaining liquid you cannot find the nutrients that a bowl of oats normally has, which is why many commercial brands add nutrients to it.
