You have no doubt heard of hibiscus tea, maybe even had it before, but have you ever thought of using hibiscus tea for your hair?

Let us tell you that it contains some wonderful benefits and will treat thinning hair by giving it volume while treating split ends, strengthening hair, and promoting hair growth! This homemade hibiscus tea rinse is super easy to make and you will fall in love with the smell immediately!

Benefits of hibiscus tea for hair

  • Helps hair grow healthy
  • Prevents hair from falling out excessively
  • Gives hair a dose of shine and volume
  • Soothes irritated scalp
  • Add natural shine
  • Strengthens the hair
  • Helps reduce dandruff due to its moisturizing properties
  • Helps condition hair
  • Add red/purple undertones to the hair *if you have light blonde hair be careful with this!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup hibiscus petals
  • 1.5 cup of water
  • 1 tsp glycerin, aloe vera or honey
  • 1 tsp coconut oil, olive oil, or any other carrier oil
  • 5 Five drops of essential oil of your choice such as lavender, grapefruit, lemon, etc…
  • Directions :
  • Boil the hibiscus petals in water for 5 minutes. Let cool to room temperature.
  • Once cold, add the rest of the ingredients and stir well.
  • Scoop out the petals, and pour the mixture into a clean spray bottle.

HOW TO USE THE HOMEMADE HIBISCUS TEA RINSE


•Spray directly into dry hair, focusing on roots and ends. Work it through all of the hair using your fingertips, massaging the scalp gently for 1-2 minutes.

•Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave it on for 1-2 hours.
•Wash your hair normally.

•Use as often as you like, usually 2-3 times a week.
Store the jar in the refrigerator. It will last a week or two, then throw it away and make a new mix.
