And being able to unblock your nose quickly and without medication is not easy.

Fortunately, my grandmother has easy and effective techniques to make the nose unblock instantly.

Here are 6 tips and remedies to finally be able to breathe normally even with a cold. Look :

1. Massage the area between your eyebrows

Target the point just between your two eyebrows.

Massage it gently but with little pressure for a minute. It is an acupressure point to unblock the nose naturally.

This massage acts on the nasal mucosa:

  • it prevents dryness and inflammation of the sinuses;
  • it has a preventive effect;

  • it reduces the pressure in the frontal sinuses.

2. Massage the nasal sinuses

With the index and middle fingers, make circular movements in the area of the wings of the nose for 1 or 2 minutes. Add small pressure movements to the wings of the nose.

This massage opens the nasal passages. This makes it much easier to blow your nose and evacuates anything that clutters your nostrils.

3. Massage the area between your nose and lip

Place your finger in the indentation on the upper lip, putting it just between the nose and the mouth. Massage this point using gentle movements for 2 to 3 minutes. This massage eliminates and soothes inflammation and swelling in the nose.

4. Use a humidifier

When the humidity in the air is below 40%, the mucus in the nose dries up, hardens, and hinders free breathing.

The worst part is that bacteria will grow more easily under these conditions.

The optimum humidity level is between 40 and 60%. Do not hesitate to use a humidifier to keep an optimal humidity level in a room of the house.

5. Warm your nose with a hot towel

Take a small towel and heat it in the microwave or put it in hot water and wring it out.

Then lay the towel over your nose. It doesn’t have to be boiling, just a warm and pleasant temperature.

Once on your nose, the heat will make the mucus more liquid and therefore easier to pass.

After warming up your sinuses, gently blow your nose or do an enema with saline solution as explained here. The nose will unblock immediately.

6. Exercise

If it’s an allergy, hay fever, or rhinitis that is clogging your nose, physical activity will help you unclog it quickly.

Indeed, when the heart rate is high and the body warms up, it has a positive effect on the thinning of mucus in the nose. This makes it much easier to blow your nose and empty your nose.

15 minutes of physical activity is enough to see a result.
